This Privacy Policy explains how Trott Intelligence (“we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and shares personal information through this website and when you contact us. We collect very little, and we keep this policy short for that reason.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit an enquiry, we collect your name, company, work email address, your company's annual revenue range, the service you are interested in and anything you write in your message. When you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the date and time of your visit, so that the site can be delivered and protected from abuse.

We do not ask for sensitive personal information. Please do not include it in your message.

How we use information

To respond to your enquiry and arrange an initial conversation.
To provide our services and manage our relationship, if we go on to work together.
To operate, maintain and secure this website.
To comply with our legal obligations, such as keeping business and tax records.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use it to send you marketing.

How we share information

We share personal information only with the following categories of third parties:

Service providers that host this website, process enquiry form submissions and provide our email, acting on our behalf.
Professional advisers, such as our accountants and lawyers, where necessary.
Government authorities or other parties where required by law, or to protect our rights, property or safety.
A successor business, if Trott Intelligence is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

Cookies, tracking and Do Not Track

This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or other tracking tools, and our fonts are stored on our own site rather than loaded from a third party. We do not track visitors over time or across other websites, and we do not allow third parties to collect personal information about your online activities through our site.

Because we do not track visitors, the site does not change its behaviour in response to browser “Do Not Track” signals; there is no tracking to switch off.

How long we keep information

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement: deleted within 12 months of our last contact.
Information relating to clients: kept for seven years after the engagement ends, to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.
Technical information processed by our hosting provider: kept in line with that provider's retention periods.

How we protect information

This site is served only over a secure (HTTPS) connection, and we limit access to enquiry information to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.

Your choices and requests

You can ask us to review, correct or delete the personal information you have given us by emailing contact@trottintelligence.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to confirm your identity first. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law, and we will honour requests as that law requires.

Children

This website is intended for business use and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Visitors outside the United States

Trott Intelligence is based in the United States, and information submitted through this website is processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above. If a change is significant, we will make that clear at the top of this page.
